Tambor is a small town located in the southern part of the Nicoyan Peninsula. Cabo Blanco Biological Reserve and Curú is located in this area of the country. The reserve protects wildlife and a prisitine tropical forest. Also Tambor is the access to Turtle Island and San Lucas Island, and a gateway to reach some of the most beautiful and remote beaches of the country such as: Montezuma , Santa Teresa, Mal Pais , Manzanillo, Islita and Coyote Beach.
